An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Stewarding Supervisor to join our team. You will be responsible to supervise, train and inspect the performance of assigned Stewarding Staff, ensuring that all procedures are completed to the hotel's standards.
Daily responsibilities will include coordinating efforts of all utility personnel to ensure sanitation standards are met in all production, storage, and receiving areas. Inspect dish machine for cleanliness, proper distribution of soap, water, and rinse solution. Distribute all stored glass, silver and china to designated areas, as well as other utensils and equipment as needed. Empty trash and garbage cans on a timely basis, hose out cans, and use a liner in cans at all times. Assist where necessary to ensure optimum service to guests.
Ideal candidate will have previous experience in similar position in food service/ janitorial. Must have knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, use of kitchen equipment/machinery and proper chemical handling. Must have excellent communication and leadership skills plus ability to work a flexible schedule. Job involves contact with industrial strength chemicals.
